AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8

The phenomenon has once again prepared to take stage as judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul hold auditions forthe January Premiere of American Idol Season 8. The Emmy nominated show was created and executive produced by Mr. Simon Fuller and let’s not forget “The hardest working man in Hollywood” Ryan Seacrest, who hosts the hit series that aims to discover the next American Idol and solo singing superstar.


With the likes of Carrie Underwood, who has taken country musicby storm, Chris Daughtery, who, without even winning the coveted title, has found great success, Jennifer Hudson who was awarded an Oscar for best supporting actress in Dream Girls, and the unbelievably talented David Cook winner of Season 7, there is no doubt the show will provide us with stars for years to come, making household names and dreams come true for one lucky contestant. Finding a superstar isn’t all this show has meant to people, millions across America tuned in when the show broadcast“IDOL GIVES BACK” raising more than 75 million dollars over the course of one night to fight poverty in both the U.S. andAfrica. The special earned them the most prestigious award givenby the Television Academy, The Governor’s Award. There is no doubt the enjoyment shared by millions at each and every seasonl eading up to this one, the craze and excitement for Season 8 is around the corner. Auditions are already being held as tens of thousands of hopefuls looking to be a part of the phenomenon and get their shot at stardom come together by the masses.


Auditions were held in the following cities: San Francisco, California- Louisville, Kentucky- Phoenix, Arizona- Salt LakeCity, Utah- San Juan, Puerto Rico- Kansas City, Missouri-Jacksonville, Florida- and East Rutherford, NJ. It is the first time AI has visited Salt Lake City and Puerto Rico as the extraordinary opportunity for contestants to perform before millions of viewers, becoming household names, and competing to win the coveted title and record deal unfolds. American Idol allows us to reach into our inner child, live the dream of being a superstar and possibility of fame more than just a fantasy. With more and more hopefuls turning out each year, it is no doubt that for a long time to come the series will grace our living rooms. Various themed nights showcasing our favorite artists of the past, and present fill the Kodak Theater as competitors give it their best. There is no question Season 8 will keep us on lock down every Tuesday and Wednesday night hoping our favorite will be crowned the next “American Idol!”
